Green competencies: Europe safeguarding its natural heritage

 

This Erasmus+ VET project aims to develop competency-based training that empower the end-users with green skills and competencies about natural and cultural landscape preservation, identifying relevant concepts of "cultural landscape".

 

The project provides a common space for exchange of good practices between different EU partners involved in VET about the value of local natural and cultural landscape heritage preservation by integrating awareness and understanding of natural heritage protection into national educational curricula.

 

The consortium of seven institutions with the necessary profile, experiences and expertise consists of two foundations from Poland, municipality from Spain, NGOs with VET experience from Estonia, France and Malta and educational institution from Italy.

 

Target groups are VET professionals, teachers, trainers, mentors and local decision makers that need a professional growth to answer to new needs of labour market linked to preserve EU natural heritage.

 

The consortium will deliver tangible and intangible results

- the development of entrepreneurial skills in planning cultural and environmental tourism, in the use of English language and ICT, in the efficient management of intercultural communication

- creation of materials such as a landscape preservation guide, poster, brochure, flyer, Power Point Presentation of good practices, project Facebook page, landscape catalogue, maps of landscape cultural heritage, video-clips about activities implemented during the project,

- local and international workshops about natural landscape and cultural heritage,

- the exchange of good practices in VET about preservation, management and valorisation of the local cultural and natural heritage.

 

The consortium will organize four project meetings (in Poland, Italy, Estonia and France) to exchange good practice and develop project activities and two short joint staff training events in Spain and Malta with the combination of local and international activities, such as study visits, workshops, seminars, meetings, lectures what will allow to achieve project goals.

 

Dissemination and evaluation activities will be developed and will be crucial to help to achieve project goals and sustainability.
